what were we thinking, to cast such beautiful charms unfettered loose upon the world? Did we not think these flashing eyes, taut skin and summer hair were good and innocent, would not ensnare? What foolish desire chose this path, this fate? Do we not see them dance, limbs awhirl, within fires circle, leaping like fresh flames, or musing in serenity at coals glow eyes askance? How could they not wonder, hope, conjure such future that we could not foretell? Where is that magik now, with the ages that shroud us from their gaze? What might it cost to reclaim what was bequeathed upon a whim? Once that as was cast joyous shout, echoes quiet as a whisper? Nay, we shall not turn from the course. We shall endure. Aaaahhhhh, what were we thinking? To cast such unfettered charms loose upon the world?
